  • art to wear

I just returned from a five-day trip to Allegan, Michigan where I worked with my friend in his yarn shop during the Michigan Fiber Festival. The Bear and Fox Yarn Den is a fabulously cozy and fun shop to spend time looking at yarn and all the goodies they have to sell. Among the items for sale, my first collection of hand crocheted earrings are available. They were warmly received, and two pairs sold while I was there. It is a very exciting feeling to have my work so warmly received.

Here is a sample of what is available at the shop and a hint of things to come in the Adorn Yourself line of crochet art.

My mind is overflowing with ideas. Now that I am home, it is time to rest, sketch, and play with stitch patterns and see how the next collection evolves. I am new to this artistic process. I burn out if I try to make multiples of the same or similar things. My style and artistic voice are in their infancy. This is going to be a wild and fun ride. Grab a hook and thread and join me as I explore and make art.
